About Me
I began writing my debut novel on a flight home from Mexico after celebrating my 30th birthday in March 2024, encouraged by my fiancé. What started as a single chapter quickly became something much bigger. I’d had the idea for Tides That Lie for years, along with the central character the story would revolve around.
I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, but for a long time I saw writing and publishing a novel as something reserved for other people. Instead, I followed a different path. I trained as a counsellor before retraining as a mental health social worker, which developed into a strong interest in psychology and human behaviour that now shapes my writing.
I write psychological thrillers driven by character, tension, and the question that matters most: why.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me spending time with loved ones, reading, or caring for a rotating cast of foster cats.
